As Monrovia Unified School District continues to provide students with growth mindset opportunities, we at Plymouth know the value of providing cutting edge programs for our students.
Beginning this school year, we will begin a new journey working with coding. Plymouth will be partnering with Code to the Future to bring the language of computer science to all of our students. CTTF is an educational computer science organization which has designed computer science curriculum that will move our students from being consumers of technology, to becoming the creators of technology. All students in grades K - 5 will be taught to code as using a full immersion model, integrating coding into daily instruction.
There will be several parent meetings and student demonstrations throughout the year. The goal is to allow student to take devices home once proper training and support has been established. This is a very exciting opportunity for the students and staff at Plymouth. I look forward to talking with you more about how Code to the Future will enrich the lives of our students here at Plymouth.
